Here's today's Second Amendment decision. Senator Obama's three model justices dissented. (UPDATE: and here's reaction from the presidential candidates).
And today the Washington Post has an editorial on confirmations. According to the Post, counting all pending judicial and non-judicial nominations, "Altogether, 394 nominees have waited a combined 52,122 days for confirmation." The Post elaborates:
In all the bickering, it's easy to forget that there are real people behind the numbers. They've answered invasive questions about their families and their finances. They've put their lives on hold and have declined opportunities to take jobs and earn more money in the private sector to be in public service. They deserve to be told once and for all whether their service is needed.
If their service isn't needed, then why not tell them?
Second amendment strongly upheld in a ground breaking decision. Outstanding Scalia MAJORITY opinion.
Though Rush is rightly lamenting that 4 SCOTUS justices would take the position they do.

Candidates also need to be telling the stories of the people who are waiting for hearings because these seats are vacant.
Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Rhode Island.
Pick a case that is on hold at your CCA and talk about the people effected because (for instance) Sarbanes won't let Rothenstein get a vote.
